In operative Paragraph 3 of the Resolution No. 33/8-E (IS) the Eighth Summit of the OIC expressed its desire for the member states to extend their cooperation and coordination in the area of market access, competition policy, transfer of technology and the know how, finance, investment and eventually development of an integrated network of information as well as physical infrastructure for achieving the objective of an ICM. To implement this key decision, the CARSICM created a website to provide the basic information and data on commercial capabilities and potentials of the Islamic countries in order to facilitate trade among them and contribute to the objective of creating an ICM. This initiative of the Islamic Republic of Iran received the appreciation of the 9th OIC Summit Conference held in Doha, Qatar. The relevant part of the Resolution 37/9-E(IS) adopted at this summit on this very subject reads as fallows:
"Notes with appreciation the initiative of the Government of the Islamic republic of Iran to set up a website to provide information and data on commercial capabilities and potentials of the Islamic countries in order to facilitate intra-trade and contribute to the objective of creating an Islamic Common Market".
In this website, which is updated on regular basis, researchers may look for different Trade Studies and Researches of the Center concerning the OIC Member Countries, which are conductive to laying down suitable grounds for the establishment of an ICM. Researchers also have access to the data base and download the necessary information data and articles.
