The Department of maintaining regular and systematic contacts with the Organization of the Islamic Conference Through relevant departments in The Ministry of foreign Affairs for the purpose of the establishment of an ICM |

The department pursues the following goals:
- Interacting actively and effectively with the OIC members for promoting the idea of an ICM and its realization.
- Cooperating with the OIC Secretariat in matters related to establishing of an ICM.
- Cooperating with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and other subsidiary and affiliated bodies of the OIC for exchanging views on various issues related to the establishment of an ICM.
- Preparing reports on the activities of CARSICM for the submission to the secretariat of the OIC.
- Cooperating with relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce at different meetings of the OIC.
